Chelsea and Nathan
Most people might not think to have a wedding in the winter, Chelsea and Nathan were thrilled to do just that on December 16th, 2017
This adorable couple grew up and graduated not more than 15 miles from one another. Nathan went to The University of Alabama, Chelsea, Jacksonsonville State University. It wasn't until Nathan transferred to Jacksonville State that the two officially met.
Chelsea is an elementary school special education teacher and Nathan is in boat technology. They both absolutely love their jobs and couldn’t imagine doing anything different.
After they were engaged in September, 2017 the planning soon began. Chelsea thought a beach wedding would be ideal until she went to a friends wedding at Fiddler's Green. She then knew this was the place and they booked their wedding. Her father always wanted her to be married in a chapel and Fiddler's Green was just perfect.
Chelsea's beautiful dress was an Oleg Cassini design purchased from David's Bridal. It was organza with 3/4 length sleeves. It had a sweet heart neck line embellished with beading. It had a chapel train with an extra long veil.
Almost 90 people attended this stunning chapel wedding on a cold winter evening. James Spann had predicted the weather so Chelsea had all the girls wear Shawls and how they were just perfect over their black bridesmaids dresses. Each girl chose their own style of dress, purchased at Wedding Way, in Atlanta, Georgia. Chelsea gave all the girls matching plaid pajamas as a gift along with the shawls.
The men were also all in black.
The flowers were an amazing creation by Valley Florist in Alexandria, Al. They consisted of beautiful white roses, greenery, pine cones and pops of red. The design couldn’t have been more perfect for a wintery wedding.
Their rings just fit their personalities perfectly with stunning stones and amazing style.
The “first look” was photographed in the garden next to the main house and the green house, just a few steps from the chapel. Susan Weathington Photography captured every beautiful moment of this holiday wedding.
As the violin began to play Chelsea’s father walked her down the aisle of the chapel. It was decorated with christmas trees and red poinsettias. Despite the cold weather outside, it was filled with warmth and candle light as the two took their vows. They exited as Mr. and Mrs. Walker to all the guests holding sparklers.
The reception consisted of delicious food. There was Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and all the rest of the trimmings for a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. The grooms cake and was a yummy chocolate while the wedding cake was two tier with light icing and flowers around the corners.
They honeymooned in Gatlinburg and returned home in time to celebrate Christmas with their families!
